If you're looking for a 6120 that stays in tune, plays like a dream and sounds great all at a price that won't break the bank you've found your guitar. This started out as a bone-stock G6120, but it's been upgraded with a killer pair of TV Jones Brian Setzer Signature pickups along with TV's recommended caps. They have that classic Filtertron twang all day long, but with a touch of grease on the bottom end that is just delicious. The bridge has been upgraded from the stock Gretsch TOM knock-off to a really lively sounding Resomax NV-2, and the stock Grovers have been upgraded to a set of Grover 502's with Crazyparts amber celluloid buttons so the guitar stays in tune, rings like a bell and the reduced headstock weight improves the balance. The fingerboard binding has been rolled slightly so she feels nicely broken-in but he hasn't seen much play-time other than noodling around at home so other than a little wear to the gold plating on the Bigsby handle she's in excellent condition. The guitar weighs 7.1 pounds, and the slight V-neck reminds me a lot of the excellent PRS "Pattern Regular" neck that wins so much praise. I measure the neck depth at the first fret as being .84/.85" and 1.69" wide at the nut so it's a nice grip, just a joy to play.I got this guitar for a good price and was able put some money into making it a really functional, really great sounding American Roots machine, but it's time to move on. This is a lot of guitar, buy with confidence and let me know if you have any questions!
