'52 Reissue Fender E-Serial MIJ (1989) Very Rare White Ash Fuji-Gen Built 'Micawber' Telecaster Here is one of my favourite ever Japanese made Fenders. It's a beautiful E-Serial (1989) '52 RI Blonde 'Micawber' Telecaster. I love these guitars and then don't come up often enough. They were never exported from Japan. Of course, it was constructed for Fender at the legendary Fuji-Gen plant and like all these first run 80's builds is constructed from a fantastic resonant solid slab of heavy White Ash. The maple used for the neck & fretboard is also top quality on these (check out the pics!!!) Fender Japan didn't build too many of them, preferring to stick with the classic single coil '52 design. This one is a beautiful guitar. It has all the good stuff and looks factory correct to me with its single-ply black scratchplate, 6 solid brass saddles, solid machined brass bridge, Fender stamped neck plate & Gotoh tuners. She's got her awesome sounding factory fitted Dragster in the neck and traditional TL vintage in the bridge. There's a bit of very light wear (but much less than I normally see on these beasts). The brass bridge has a nice patina all over it, the body & scratchplate have scuffing. This thing has Mojo! The vintage correct single-ply black scratch plate has a light warp and a little crack in the plastic at the corner. There are a couple of dings etc. but it's all very moderate, nothing harsh or nasty. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine and I can't really see any wear to the frets, they've got years left in them. Comes with gig bag.  Don't miss it, once she's gone she's gone. Oh and feel free to take out a saddle and drop it to open G ;)All my guitars are shipped in padded purpose designed tough durable boxes. The guitar will reach you in perfect condition.
