USA 1988/E4 Fender Stratocaster Plus Black w/ Case Stunning!Got to let her go... new acquisition forces sale! Here we have a genuine 1988/E4 Fender Stratocaster Plus, in gorgeous Black finish with all the features stated below, it’s a real stunner and a great player in excellent condition, only showing minimal wear, no buckle rash, mainly light surface scratches (probably buffable), the common stress hairline in the neck pocket and a couple of dings which I tried to capture otherwise a clean example (see pics)! Medium to light weight, this Plus plays great with low action, the comfortable C profile neck has a lovely Maple grain and a beautiful Rosewood fingerboard with hardly any fret wear, the frets are original, in great shape with plenty of life. Naturally resonant with great sustain, the Gold Laces pickups provide the most classic fifties Bell-like tone w/ all the zing you need at the top end and give that great Fender signature sound with a lot of chime, more output and a mid-range boost adding to its clarity.This Black beauty has been well looked after, mainly in a flight case for most of its life. It comes complete with the original Fender case w/ fully functional latches (slightly pitted!) The Strat Plus is now considered a collector’s guitar and is sought after by players alike. The winner will not be disappointed!A Brief History: The Fender Strat Plus model, played by many Top guitarists (Clapton, Beck, Gilmour, P. Townshend, Buddy Guy…) was introduced by Fender in 1987 as the high-end production model next to Fender's Custom Shop. These guitars were made to the highest standard in the Corona Factory with the best tone woods and components. The Strat Plus features all the new design advances we know today with a TBX tone control for the middle and bridge pickups, Two-Point Trem-bridge, Wilkinson Roller Nut, Sperzel Locking Tuners, 22 medium jumbo frets, micro-tilt neck adjustment and the better Bi-flex truss rod.
