57 Reissue Lefty Fender Stratocaster, Made in Japan 1996, IMMACULATE & with case

Fender Stratocaster ’57 Reissue LEFTY. Made in Japan 1996, Maple neck, 2-tone SunburstPart exchange will be considered. Comes with a Fender hard case The original two-tone Sunburst top, back, and sides are in very good condition with some very small marks here and there. However, they are barely noticeable. At some point in its life, this Lefty has been used as a right-handed guitar. The top strap pin was moved to the other horn. It is now back in the correct position. I have not attempted to disguise (or fill) the hole left behind. The plain white, single ply, 8-hole, pick guard is correct for a ’57 re-issue. The back does not have any buckle rash. If you hold the back up to the light, you can see a small dimple. The headstock is correct for a ’57 re-issue lefty with just the Fender logo on top and a transfer on the back of the neck, near the pocket, with “Made in Japan” together with the serial number denoting this to be a 1995/6 guitar. The age is further corroborated by the Fender 50th Anniversary sticker, issued to all guitars MIJ during 1996. I have removed the neck and photographed the pocket and the underside neck joint. If you would like images, please ask. The stamps read: · On the underside of the neck joint: ST-57LEX2 · Within the neck pocket: ST 57L I have also removed the pick guard to check the routing and finish. All is exactly as it was when it left Fuji-Gen, Japan. It has the original hardware, original single coils, 5-way selector switch, Volume and 2 Tone controls. The maple neck is in very good condition, although the frets do show some sign of moderate wear. The headstock has the original Kluson-style enclosed tuners with oval heads. Even the dot inlays on the 12th Fret are the correct width for a Japanese Fender ’57 reissue. How does it play? Like a dream! I’m not a “lefty” but I loaned it to a friend and he loved it. Has it been modded? No. I’ve fitted some original Fender Pure Nickel strings for authenticity (.009 - .42) Case: Supplied in a Fender TSA002 hard case Overall, this is a superb example of a 1996 Fender Stratocaster ’57 Re-issue lefty that was Made in Japan.
