I m selling my 1991 USA Strat Plus Deluxe in Rare Firestorm finish. This finish was only applied in the Fender Corona plant during 91- 92. It is hand painted and not a foto flame finish like was used on some Japanese models. Rumour has it that only one guy knew how to paint this finish and left Fender in 1992 so they are rare and sought after. Having said that this is a used guitar and the price reflects its condition. I have had this guitar from new, and there are play marks, some scuffing to the rear from shirt and jeans buttons (never wore a belt) some dings, and the common lacquer crack near the neck pocket. This doesn't affect stability of the neck and is just in the lacquer topcoat, a common occurrence on Strats. Usual Strat Plus Deluxe appointments include Sperzel locking tuners (brilliant) roller nut, TBX tone control on bridge and middle pickups, hip shot trem setter, two point tremolo with cast saddles, and a Dave Gilmour shorty trem arm (original arm lost by shop when I bought the guitar). Pickups are Fender Lace sensors as used on the Clapton strat and other artist models. Bridge is Red, middle Silver and neck Blue.
