The New Jet model is a rare find: made by the original Gretsch company from 2001 - 2003, this guitar is simple, yet sophisticated. The sound and purpose of the Gretsch New Jet was to lure Les Paul-loving guitarists away to the Gretsch family. However, when Fender bought out Gretsch in 2003, Fender saw no need to continue the production of these guitars, because Fender does not care about Gibson guitarists. The result is a rare breed of Gretsch New Jet guitars.
