The body has been crafted from alder. Bolted onto this is a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard. The Michael Kelly 1953 has been inspired by the Telecaster. It has a more boutique feel and appearance. A very handy feature of this guitar that is not immediately apparent from looking at it. The bridge pickup is stacked. What this gives you is two pickups in one. One is thicker and higher output. Stacked. Through the use of a push/pull switch you can go between that thicker sound and a more traditional twang.
