Excellent L5-style jazz archtop guitar made in Korea to a very high standard, This is the rare version in Antique Violin finish (hence the “AV” addition to the ID code). These guitars were made for a short time in the early 1990s and my research shows this to have been made in 1992. For a guitar that’s nearly 25 years old it is in exceptional condition, with no wear or scratches. The neck is perfect, the frets are un-worn and the action is very low. The position markers are real mother of pearl and abalone. It’s a beautifully responsive instrument which is very satisfying to play acoustically or plugged in (though it will feedback with the controls at full!) The guitar is currently fitted with Ernie Ball Heavy Bottom 10s which give the best balance of lightness for blues bends, combined with higher tension bass strings for volume and projection. There is however a set of lightly used flat-wound jazz strings included if you wanted to change them. It has had a couple of upgrades, with the pickups changed to gold-plated p90s and the tuners changed to high-quality Gotohs. It is possible that the pickguard is also a replacement, but it shows off the guitar top beautifully. As always, I will pack very securely and post fully insured using UPS (many other couriers including Parcelforce do not actually cover guitars for more than £100 in case of loss or damage so take care!) Please take a look at my other listings which include a couple of other nice archtops.
