MOSRITE VENTURES II - FEBRUARY 1966 - SUNBURST
*RARE* (ONLY 400 OF THIS VERSION BUILT)ALL-ORIGINAL with original case. Neck serial and neck/pocket dates all correspond to FEBRUARY 1966. The VENTURES II was originally designed as a 'student' i.e.less expensive, guitar. However, as the model developed the slab body took on a 'German Carve', the superb Moseley vibrato was added, along with improved, stronger pickups etc etc. But this s a REAL Mosrite. It is also now the best-known thanks to Johnny Ramone. (Beware of copies - this is not a fake Mosrite)The finish is all original - the body has very little rubbing, no big scratches and unusually, zero buckle rash. Original Kluson tuners are smooth, pots/electrics work fine, vibrato is excellent.  Case is functional and original. As my photos show, there is some staining/hand wear the the back of the neck but this does not affect playability. Just got it back from having a new vintage refret full pro luthier set up. Sounds and plays like a dream!SHIPPING I am currently working in Paris, from where the guitar will be shipped. I have deliberately not specified shipping costs since there are so many variables. I would prefer to work directly with any seriously interested buyers to get the best possible deal for you. Happy to ship worldwide.  DON'T HESITATE TO CONTACT ME FOR ANY MORE INFO. Or if you are in Paris, come and play it. Free coffee always available.Info below is from the excellent Mosrite forum:Ventures II - German Carve Model (Identifying characteristics)
