Brand new, a few weeks old, sounds fantastic but I don't really need it and already have one. Bought in error! SG Junior '60s Simple, no-nonsense and with tone to die for, the SG Junior has long been a favorite for everything from down-and-dirty rock and roll, to mean-street blues, to raw garage-punk. With a lightweight mahogany body and one roaring P-90 pickup, this guitar pulls no punches for pure tone, while being surprisingly versatile when you explore its depths. The guitar's neck also is made from solid mahogany cut to the superior quarter-sawn orientation, carved to the fast yet comfortable SlimTaper™ profile of the early '60s, and glued into the body with the time-tested mortise & tenon joint that promotes resonance and sustain. It carries a sturdy fingerboard made from heat-treated baked maple, with 22 medium-jumbo frets and a 12-inch radius for easy, choke-free bending. A PLEK-cut Corian nut ensures precise intonation while enhancing sustain, which is further aided by Gibson's traditional 17-degree back-angled headstock, silkscreened with the gold Gibson logo, just like the originals.
