!!!1958 SELMER PARIS SERIES 9 CLARINET ORIGINAL OWNER + Selmer HS* Mouthpiece!!!

Both Upper and Lower body joints are serial number matched.This Series 9 Clarinet was purchased brand new in New York City in 1958, with a Mark VI tenor in the tri-pack case. (That tenor is also listed here on ebay) This clarinet was purchased by the original owner's parents for him while he was in high school. He used it through high school (only indoors) and has played it from time to time since then, for personal enjoyment at home. It was never a gigging instrument. He took EXCELLENT care of this instrument, always cleaning it, handling it properly, and using bore oil, as is evidenced in the photos. Not only is it in very good cosmetic condition, it is in EXCELLENT PLAYING CONDITION. There are NO alterations/adjustments in this instrument. ALL fixtures/parts are original. The barrel, bell and both body joints are Selmer engraved. It was never damaged. There are some minor needs to bring it up to top playing condition (a few aged pads), but it is in CURRENT EXCELLENT playing condition with good key corks and tenon corks. The Grenadilla Wood is really beautiful, as it was maintained/oiled and there are NO CRACKS or cracking.Included is its original Selmer HS* mouthpiece, cap and ligature, all stamped. (a second mouthpiece-Woodwind Co. B46 is also included.) The clarinet case has some corner wear and the right front corner joint is slightly loose. It has some masking tape residue on top where a name tag was. The rest of the case and its interior are excellent. I have play tested, examined, and closely inspected this instrument just prior to the ad being placed. This Series 9 clarinet is very nice. No "stuffyness" with a rich, warm, full/strong sound throughout all registers. It has excellent action and is structurally solid.PROFESSIONAL SHIPPING with case interior packing to prevent internal key movement during shipping.
