Hofner Club 60This is a very nice and rare Hofner |Club 60 from 1959; dated by its serial numberand by the fact that it has no truss rod. The truss rod was introduced during 1960.It has an excellent sunburst finish with full body binding as well as neck and headstock binding all in a superb condition.The two pickups are black with rounded ends, and this type of pickup was used byHofner from 1957 to 1960. The wooden bridge is adjustable and has fretwire strips inthe top which when moved can adjust the intonation - this is the correct bridge for thisClub and for this period as is the tailpiece. The original leather mounted strap pinsare absolutely correct too.It has the mother-of-pearl effect scratchplate, and the rectangular control panel is therewith volume and tone controls plus rhythm/solo switch and bass on/off and trebleon/off switch - all working.The neck is black and is showing some lacquer checking as would be expected and therosewood fingerboard has lovely mother-of-pearl inlays as are the headstock inlays and''Hofner'' logo together with the original three on a side tuners which work well.This is one of the very best Club 60's I have ever seen - it has been checked over and serviced by an experience Hofner guitar technician; and it comes in a fitted hardcase.
