1986 Gibson "SG 62" Reissue with original case.This is the first true Gibson SG "Reissue" and it came out in the mid-1980's. I got one of these for graduation and regret ever selling it.This is a 1986 model that I picked up from the original owner who had played it a lot in a bar band. He'd let it set in the case for about 20 years and the neck had been slightly cracked at the heel. He had put Grover tuners on it and a Dimazrzio pickup in the bridge position. It needed a heel repair, so I had my luthier do that and secure it perfectly. It's 100% structurally sound now and set up to perfection as well. I installed 2 Gibson Burstbuckers that came from a VOS Les Paul a few years back. They sound incredible and I kept them for the right guitar. If you want the original neck pickup, I can include that for an extra $100. It's a Tim Shaw era humbucker with a very faded nickel cover. The guitar has visible wear and usage, but it really just looks like an old, vintage SG with tons of character and mojo. It plays and sounds AMAZING! I attached a quick demo video and played some old AC/CD tunes. Go to You Tube.com and add /watch?v=c2BlaHMyuzEAside from the heel repair, it has no issues at all. The repair is sound. Aside from the tuners and pickups, it is all original.The original chainsaw case only has one original latch intact, but the case is still fine. I'm content to keep this because it plays so well and sounds even better. It's an ideal Angus machine!I ship international.
