Description
Exact Year: 1971 Brand: Fender

Ok Tele lovers only a few times in our lives (if we're lucky) does a Telecaster like this one cross our path. A Tele that has THE feel, THE weight, and THE TWANG! This is it! The only reason I'm willing to let it go is because after buying this guitar from the original in like new condition without hardly a scratch on it, it has been my go to guitar I've played it in Church and on country gigs for several years and now I just cant feel right about continuing to put wear and tear on it. It was a 9.5+ when bought it and it's still a solid 8.5 in condition on a 10 scale with just a few superficial dings or scratches, no buckle wear or anything like that. I have been very particular with it but that is the very thing I've grown weary of. For a while at least, I want a Tele that I don't have to worry about. One that if I put a dent in it, a bad case of nausea don't hit me immediately afterwards like I've damaged the Ark Of The Covenant or something LOL. Anyway, here it is if you're in the market for a Tele that moves your soul, one of the best Teles you will ever find. 1971 Fender Telecaster, rosewood fingerboard, serial number 335784, pot codes 6636. I've been a Telecaster enthusiast and collector for over 25 years and I've owned dozens of vintage pre-cbs and cbs Teles of all ages black guards on up and I can assure you this is a great one with that pure original Fender Telecaster twang we all dream of and it happens to be a featherweight as well, weighing in at just 6 pounds 14 ounces...there is no way you will be disappointed. I didn't take it apart for the pics. I only removed the control plate to snap a pic of the pot code. I was the first to take the guitar apart when I bought it so I figure there's no use in taking it completely apart again. Check my feedback and rest assured I'll stand behind it 100%. All the screw holes were tight and unmolested when I took it apart years ago so I prefer not to take it apart again. Every time you do, it tends to make those screw holes looser. I remember the neck is dated mid 1971. Of course the original pots are dated 1966 as all late 60s and early 70s Tele's were until about late 1972. There is only three things non original on this guitar and they are all forgiven in the collectors world: the switch tip, the frets, and the bone nut. Most of the pics show a round switch tip but I did find the correct oval shaped tip and I have already installed it as seen in the last photo. As for the frets, I can only assume the original owner decided later in years (1999, see photo of receipt) that he wanted fresh new frets for some reason so he had them replaced. However, considering the like new condition of the guitar when I acquired it, it is impossible the frets could've been worn. The luthier did a professional job and this thing plays and bends strings effortlessly. The original tuners are excellent and hold tune very well. There are a few normal stand marks on the bottom edge as seen in the photos from those old guitar stands from back in the day (see photo). The case has remained in excellent condition because I carried the guitar in a newer case and kept the original put away. The leather ends and all latches are excellent. It also has its original bridge cover. Old Fender strap included. NO overseas shipping on this one, sorry! Shipping is FREE inside the USA. Instead of starting at a high price and accept offers I set the price at my rock bottom so any low offers will be ignored. Thanks for looking ebay friends and be sure to look at my other items for more rare vintage guitars.
