'69 Reissue Fender Mustang in Lake Placid Blue with Competition Stripes. Here's a rare one. It's one of the very few Fender Mustangs that were built during the 1980's at the legendary Fuji-Gen plant in Japan. It's a vintage specification '69 Reissue (I Serial MIJ 1989) in iconic Lake Placid Blue with Competition Stripes and a very cool cream pearl pickguard. It's basically the Mustang Kurt played in Nirvana's 'Teen Spirit' video sans the matching headstock.  This thing is a dream to look at and play. Has a real old Mustang vibe (it IS an old Mustang!) Correct Fender stamped neck plate and super resonant poplar body with no modifications or repairs. Very easy action and has that 'stang sound in spades. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine with plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically perfect. No issues at all. It has plenty of Mojo. The LPB has faded to almost Ocean Turquoise Green, the pick guar has shrunk just a little bit, there is some buckle rash on the back, some very small scratches/dings a finish check coming out from the neck pocket (it's just in the paint) that kind of stuff, nothing major at all, but imo it looks all the better for it. Complete with gig bag and trem arm. Built immaculately as you'd expect from Fender Japan at Fuji-Gen. This little Mustang will last you a lifetime. A very rare 80's '69 vintage specification Mustang in a iconic colours. No more are of these are being built by Fender Japan so now is the time to snap them up.
