Hamer USA Sunburst 1979Nearly 40 years old, sounds superb, no repairs, has minor chips and coating cracks which reflect the age.These were the guitars that made lots of the pros of that era put there Les Pauls to bed. Look at any old photos of the Police and you'll see one hanging around Andy Summers neck. Its serial no is 9 658, (this makes it the 658th guitar that Hamer built (not the 658th sunburst)The pick-ups are Hamer USA (made by De Marzio) and sound amazing.
The previous owner had Mini humbuckers installed, this is evident beneath the pickup cover, where room was made to fit them, it doesn't effect the playability.
The frets are good, the neck is true, and the action is low.I've owned this for the past 25 years, because of arthritic fingers it sits in my wardrobe, but it needs to be out on the road.Free postage applies to UK only.
