Here's one for the collectors! This is a 1988-89 BC RICH USA SST-III with a stunning Spacescape graphic done by Dan Lawrence (not a sticker or decal!). Amazing detail and quality. Very popular back in the late 80s. Pre-Class Axe BC glory:-22 Frets-Alder Body-Maple neck/rosewood fretboard-Gold Schaller Strap Locks (not sure if they're original)-Black Grover Tuners-Black Takeuchi-made BC Rich stamped Tremolo (non-recessed)I do not know if the pickups are original; they do not have any markings on them- possibly Gotoh? I have had this guitar for over ten years and never changed anything.SERIAL NUMBER IS B 8034Overall, finish is in beautiful condition for its age. No oxidation or sweat damage. Some light scratches and dings; the only major dings are a small gouge by the jack/edge of the planet graphic (not through to the bare wood), a rough area by the horn-side strap button (not through to the wood) and the usual chipping on the very end of the headstock. MISSING SPRING CAVITY COVER AND WHAMMY BAR! No stress cracks by neck pocket. Does have some fret wear, but plenty of life left and does not need a level/crown/polish yet. INCLUDES A HARD CASE (not sure if it's original).CURRENTLY SET UP IN STANDARD TUNING WITH 9-42 GAUGE STRINGSHate to sell it, but I've got three other pre-Class SSTs and this is the one I play the least due to the above-average condition and fear if something happening to it. Plays beautifully....there's a reason people love those old BCs. Nothing tops an 80s-older USA neck! This belongs with a collector who wants a time capsule for their recording studio.
