First year Parker Fly with original gig bag in great condition.  If you don't know anything about Parker guitars, or the original redwood-necked models, do a little research and check them out.  When Ken Parker started up his company, his original intention was to make them with poplar bodies and redwood necks, but he ran into problems mass producing them that way.  Only a few of the redwood necked models made it out of the factory (most say around 50), but if you get the opportunity to play one you'll see why this was the way Ken Parker intended them.  They are unbelievably light weight (around 4.5 #'s) and they feel alive - you can actually feel them vibrate against your body as you play.  To me, these are the most perfect guitars ever made and I wouldn't be selling this one except for I am insanely fortunate enough to own 3 others.  I think two of the most overused terms used on eBay are "rare" and "sure to increase in value".  I feel confident saying that these both apply here.Although this one is in great shape, it is not perfect.  I typically over-describe flaws to make them sound worse than they are so when you unbox it for the first time you'll say "huh - it's not nearly as bad as he said" instead of "WTF?!?".  So here goes:There is an approx 1 mm in diameter paint chip by the truss rod adjustment hole in the headstock.  There is some paint loss at the edge of the fretboard where the neck meets the body, between the 21st and 24th frets.  It's hard to tell what is glare and what is paint loss.  The nuts holding the tuners on are a little scratched.  There are some extremely fine scratches on the back, not through the paint or clear coat.  No worming.  The guy before my added starplocks, but used a screw that was just-too-long and it poked through the front of the top horn.  Not very noticeable, but there.  Lastly, the previous owner decided to "blend" the neck pickup with a Joe Satriani model by wiring in one chrome bobbin and one stock black bobbin (you can see it in one of the pics).  Not sure why... I never saw anything like it before.  Fortunately, he included the extra parts, so I had the pickup returned to stock.  The only difference is now the neck pickup has paper tape going around the coils instead of the stock cloth type tape.  The price has been adjusted for these flaws.  My opening bid of $1500 is extremely reasonable for *any* USA made Fly, much less a first year redwood-necked model!  Buy It Now, I'll ship it for free.See pics for all the above. All electronics work and it plays like a dream.  Seriously, if you never played a Parker Fly before, you're missing out.  Everyone says their guitar plays like butter, or whatever, but Parkers are in a class by themselves.
No reserve auction, buy this and make someone (even if it's yourself) happy - really happy! - for the Holidays!  Quick 5 day auction - I want to get this sold and shipped by Monday the 19th if possible.  I will be traveling from Monday the 19th until Christmas, so if it doesn't ship before I leave, it won't until after the Holiday.  If you're local (NJ), you can pick it up for free too.  No international shipping.I have this listed locally as well.  I reserve the right to end the auction at any time if it sells.  Don't be annoyed if you bid and the auction ends - I put the Buy It Now option up for that reason.I hate the never-accurate eBay shipping calculator.  Flat shipping rate of $50.  Believe me, it'll probably be more...
