1963 Fender Precision Bass Neck, Body, Pickups, Tuners (aside from one screw and washer), Nut, Knobs, Pickup plate, Bridge, Hootenanny Strap Button, Serial Plate, Jack, String Tree, Truss Rod all appear to be original. Weight: 8lbs 7.9oz Reproduction pickguard, tugbar, strap buttons. The bass is a monster player's bass. Old, Sherwood Green refin., typical, thin crack by the E string tuner (extremely solid, no repair and nothing to worry about), and a crack in the body by the pups that goes to the strap button. Again, another mark that is solid and nothing to worry about. When I received the bass the truss was loose. James Healy at Old Town Lutherie did an expert job to get the truss rod back in place. He heated and removed the first fret, set the rod, and put the fret back in place. It's practically invisible. Overall, this is a solid 63P with a monster Motown tone that you just can't beat. Don't sleep on this affordable piece of history. Ships in a non-original, hard shell case.
