I bought this $1,699 RRP beauty, in a solid wooden Guild deluxe case, brand new at a sale price in Canberra on 28th November 2016. I have gigged twice with it (and have been told that it sounds fab) and the Guild HB-1 Alnico II/2 7.10K resistance neck and 7.00K resistance bridge pickups (helped by all four 500K pots) in the solid Mahogany body are incredibly musical, powerful yet sweet, and sustain superbly well. The Alnico 2 pickups have true vintage sounds (much more so than the Alnico V/5s used on most modern guitars). The Rosewood board is brilliantly set up, the intonation excellent, the tuners stable, and even the nut is real bone! I now have to sell this lovely guitar, because a) I have failed three times to sell my Custom Telecaster on eBay, so I am keeping that as one of my new ‘max’ of 8 guitars, and b) the board is just a tad narrow for my extra-long 22cm hand, but would be perfect for anyone with normal or small hands. This is a simply extraordinarily well-made and sounding guitar. The item can be picked up by the winner/buyer from me in Brooklyn, or we can meet in a Northern Suburb of Sydney for a handover with a cash payment. Or I will register, insure and send it anywhere in Australia (in its original carton) via AusPost for $40. Check out my 413 stars and 100% positive feedback on eBay and know I only sell the very best stuff!
