The Schecter Van Nuys strats are unmatched for playability, sound and tone. This Strat was assembled with a 1981 Schecter body (originally painted pink) that was modified to handle a Kahler trem and refinished by a Canadian shop to a rich dark brown. I had the routing rebuilt to a traditional trem by a luthier Wades Guitars in Milwaukee, and reassembled with SCHECTER Van Nuys brass bridge, tremolo block, and saddles, brass strap buttons, jack cover and backplate. Schecter neck was modified for a locking tuner was converted to traditional neck with brass nut. Maple Neck is a beefy C neck and fretboard, gold locking Sperzel tuners made in Germany. New large gauge frets just polished and crowned. This is set up like Knopflers Dream Machine. Pickguard and electronics are all Schecter Van Nuys OEM. 3 mini toggle switches wired to legendary Monstertone pickups which allow amazing pickup selection and variability in tones. Master volume and 2 tone pots are AB mod pots which were stock on the early Schecter Van Nuys strats. The polished swamp ash body has some dings which you'd expect on a 35 year old guitar with wonderful feel and tone.
