This rare guitar has been briefly played and signed by Joe Satriani around the time of the Super Colossal Tour in 2006. Joe signed this guitar at the Ogden Theater on the day of his CD launch for the Super Colossal Tour which started in Denver. His manager approved the design and was also there at the time. It is 1 of 2 artists proofs, was made for a extremely small limited run of 10 guitars total and comes with a certificate of authenticity. This Ibanez JS series guitar features Joe’s likeness which is the cover art of his 11th studio album. The Super Colossal Guitar is an awesome instrument, with great graphics and is a dream to play. It was manufactured by Ibanez in November of 2005. The graphics were customized exclusively for autographed giveaways. This rare guitar was never released to retail, and is extremely hard to find. The body is lightweight basswood with a 25.5” scale length, the neck is made with maple wood featuring a rosewood fretboard, 22 frets with abalone dots and an inlay that says “Joe Satriani”. The Super Colossal has a standard layout of 1 volume, 1 tone, and 1 three way toggle switch and has H/H pickups. The hardware is a chrome finish and comes with the original Ibanez hard shell case.
