And now...... just in time for the holidays........Ace In The Hole Pedals & More brings you a special treat!Up for auction this week, we have a BEAUTIFUL, 9.5 out of 10 2003 Epiphone Ace Frehley Signature Les Paul guitar. I purchased this as a backup to my main Ace LP, but with the holidays coming up, I figured since I already have one in great shape, and the gigging schedule is going to be light for a while, I might as well brighten up SOMEONE'S day by putting this back out into the world, so they can experience the AWESOME sounds, looks and investment value that this guitar delivers!To start off, this guitar was used primarily as a display piece from purchase to about a year ago, when the previous owner boxed it and finally sold it to me. It was kept in a display case, so it wasn't exposed to the elements or any harmful toxins in the air, and was set up regularly over the years, but rarely played. When I received it, I took it to my luthier, The Guitar Guy, Paul Unkert in Toms River, NJ for a light setup as it arrived in excellent, playable condition, and replacement of the stock Epiphone bridge, which is notorious for improper string placement over the pickups for better intonation and frequency response. That's it. Other than that, this guitar is as it was from the factory 14 years ago, and sounds FANTASTIC!It comes wired with two DiMarzio Super Distortion pickups (Bridge and Middle) and a DiMarzio PAF in the neck position stock, for the classic Ace tones you're looking for, with upgraded wiring harnesses and pots, also stock. You can certainly pull all the Ace sound you want out of it, but it's got SO much more than that with the 3 pickup configuration, so don't hesitate to play it with ALL of your favorite genres as well. As I just said above, it was JUST set up about 2 weeks ago, so it is ready to roll when you receive it, playable out of the box with no additional headaches to deal with getting that performed. It comes strung with D'Addarios 9-46's that were fresh from setup. While it is in mint condition, there is ONE small cosmetic factory flaw. It's a paint drip of clear coat finish or uneven spot, about the size of a small cigarette burn (think virginia slims). It is only visible in certain angles, and does NOT detract from how beautiful this guitar is, but in the interest of full disclosure, I always let you know! I did NOT receive a case when I purchased it, but since I want to assure you of a safe delivery and a pristine instrument upon arrival, I will ship this WITH a FREE ChromaCast Hard Shell case on me, as an added bonus!
