From the introduction on GSTV: "With its lipstick tube pickup and three-watt amp built into the case, the Silvertone Amp In Case was an affordable entry-level model that is rumored to have been the first electric guitar ever owned by the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan." Jimmy Page also made this style guitar famous on some of Led Zeppelin's biggest hits. This is a well preserved 60s classic that can really light it up. The combo can really scream regardless of its compact size. Very light. Both the body and the case are black with star like speckles and look awesome. Plus it's just plain fun to play and has that Jack White coolness about it. After fifty years this guitar still stands out as a timeless classic and has proven itself as one of the most popular guitars of its era. It is in remarkably good shape considering its age. Typical abrasions around the edge of the headstock but nothing major. Frets show minor wear but still have tons of life left. And it stays in tune! The exterior of the case has edge wear commensurate with its age and the clasps are tired but functional. All in all a super fun, super cool, super collectable guitar.
