Triggs Stromberg Master 400 Light Burst 2014 The Stromberg Master 400 of which the body measures a gigantic 19″, is regarded by many to be the ultimate orchestral rhythm guitar. The Master 400 was instrument of choice for Freddy Green with the Count Basie Orchestra and many other players who needed the very best in power and projection to cut through a brass band or full orchestra. These vintage original guitars are getting exceedingly scarce, that (and the price) is the reason people are searching for alternative's and replica's like this Jim Triggs Master 400 with a nice light burst finish. Jim Triggs started building instruments over 35 years ago. Prior to working for Gibson in 1986, Triggs, who was a respected mandolin builder in the Midwest and on the West coast, had already built between 130-150 mandolins. Jim left Gibson in the spring of 1992 to build guitars on his own. Jim’s vast knowledge of various instruments led him on a path to become a “one man custom shop”.This Master 400 copy has been expertly built to the exact specifications of the vintage original instrument. Features include the 19" wide body with 2 F-holes crafted out of figured maple and spruce bound with multi-layered black and white bindings, a great relic finish, bound stairstep pickguard, highly figured maple neck with bound ebony fretboard, split block inlays, pearl Triggs logo inlay on the bound headstock, pearl inlay in the back of the headstock, Grover imperial tuners, compensated ebony bridge and Master 400 style tailpiece. An instrument which truly feels vintage and does a perfect job of keeping the Master 400 tradition alive and kicking! Includes original hardshell case. Consignment.Specs:Scale Length: 650mm (25 9/16")
