THIS IS THE GUITAR OF A LIFETIME! THE ALL TIME MONSTER BEAST TO OWN AND PLAY!!DON'T MISS OUT ON IT!!!The original SCHECTER Company from "back in the day" (1970's & 80's) had the top of the line best instrument grade woods, especially the solid one-piece guitar & bass necks. AND THESE ARE THEIR SUPREME BEST ON THIS INSTRUMENT WHICH THEY MADE ESPECIALLY FOR THE 1981 NAMM SHOW.The very best wood Schecter used on this awesome instrument was the extremely strong and dense exotic African Wenge wood, showcased on this Double Neck Guitar/Bass combo which is the only one Schecter ever made. (The Wood looks much darker and richer in person than in these photos, due to the bright reflection flash of the camera). The necks have an extremely fine natural finish which feels extremely fast & smoothe to the hand (nothing like a sticky tacky lacquer finish found on so many other mass produced instruments). The hand just glides along on these 2 musical gems with a "luxurious" feel. The larger bass neck especially is a TOTALLY AMAZING AWESOME MONSTER BEAST !!!!  - all enhanced with the superior perfect fret job and perfect neck profile Schecter quality craftsmanship was famous for back then. The genius structure of this Double Neck is that it was structured correctly with the Guitar neck positioned on the instrument physically above the Bass neck, as opposed to what we find on most other Double Necks, where they put the Bass "on the Bottom" musically rather than putting the Bass on the Bottom physically. (as found correctly here on the Schecter, in the positions that one would normally & comfortably play, with the BASS down below physically from the GUITAR above. Not the Bass "on the bottom musically". (which is a cute idea, but wrong).Wired in STEREO. A variety of optional Stereo cables and adapters which are interchangeable in different amp set ups(very easy to do) are all included (see photos). Can play in 2 different amps, one bass & one guitar.Currently strung with Maxima Gold matching Bass & Guitar strings. (extra set of guitar strings, 10's, included).Control knobs have the push/pull coil tap feature. The guitar neck has 3 pickups with control switches for each individual coil. The necks have perfect neck profiles for low action(if so desired)up and down the necks, with no fretwear or fingerboard wear. Fantastic fret & polish job as was always the case from the Schecter Co. from this era.The Black body is a Strat Style/Jazz Bass, with convenient electronics to switch from either neck or both at the same time, and various on/off pickup combinations.Top Quality Perfectly fitted CUSTOM SCHECTER TRAVEL CASE (with locking latches and keys).Enjoy,Ozzyps. years ago the late Lou Reed(R.I.P.) of Andy Warhol/Velvet Underground fame offered me 8K for this DoubleNeck, but it wasn't for sale from me at the time. The price now is low for what it is. Anyone who is lucky enough to now end up owning & playing this instrument will definitely agree as to the amazingness & greatness of it. (pps. I'm only selling these great guitars of mine now bec I'm getting too old to play them anymore, so it's time to pass them on to the next generation ...
