Ibanez, a brand not known for resting on their behinds have created something pretty outstanding. They have created a 7 string guitar that will tick a lot of modern metal guitarists boxes. As well as an outstanding hardware list this Iron label model has a striking finish. The Ibanez RGDIX7MPB features an Ash body with a Poplar Burl top. The Poplar Burl part has a Surreal Blue Burst finish which is matched on the headstock. The way Ibanez have applied the finish is pretty extraordinary. They are not the first to do this but certainly one of the first to do it at a more affordable price point. The maple an bubinga neck has been fitted with a Birdseye Maple fretboard. It matches the overall look of the RGDIX7MPB-SSB perfectly. As you would expect from a guitar of this specification it features modern, fast play-ability. It is an extended scale instrument with D to A tuning. Iron Label model with DiMarzio Pickups and Gotoh locking machine heads. Hardware on the Ibanez RGDIX7MPB is of the highest caliber. This 7 string metal machine comes with DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups. These have been created in conjuction with DiMarzio for modern metal sounds. They are super clear with plenty of output.
