This is the Ibanez Musician MC824BK. Features the Smoother Tuner BII tuning system along with the J6 pickup with 16 pole pieces for a balanced sound. Also has the Duo Sound push / pull switch that changes the pickup configuration for different tones. Made in the 1980's in Japan to the highest quality. The bass is in good condition but its is a fair few years old and so there are some marks and dings and a couple of chips and buckle rash but its structurally sound and playing great. The neck is true and the frets are mostly untouched and so have years of life left in them. The bass balances very well and the neck-thru construction make it very comfortable to play. I believe many famous players favored the Musician bass and I am sure if you dig deep into goggle you could find a list of those that did. A quick search brought back Sting, Adam Clayton and John Entwistle as notable users.
