Listing this beautiful and somewhat rare Gibson Gary Moore Tribute guitar. This guitar was produced in 2013, just 2 years after Gary passed. According to info on line concerning these guitars, they were mainly producing the less expensive BFG during this period so you don't see the Standard very often. Also, the guitar has some unique shading to the finished edges of the actual body and the pickup rings which at a glance makes the guitar appear more aged or worn. Again, I cannot find info on this but it all appears to be factory finish. I have completely disassembled the guitar and it is 100% original. Pickups, pots, switches and wiring are all factory as well as being outfitted with Tone Pros bridge/tailpiece setup. The guitar is also signed/initialed in the pickup cavities by it's builder. The guitar looks great and plays very nice. Relatively lightweight for a LP and very resonant unplugged. It has been played and shows some light wear in the form of a couple minor edge nicks and player scratches. Nothing very noticeable. We do not have the original case but the guitar will be packed very carefully in a generic hard case for shipping. If you have questions or need additional pictures, please ask before bidding. Factored shipping is for CONT US only. THANKSADDITIONAL MODEL INFO AND SPECS FOLLOW:
The Gibson Gary Moore Les Paul Standard is a reissue of the 2000-2002 Gary Moore Signature Les Paul model. It was introduced in 2013, two years after the death of Gary Moore. This model has no body binding, an AA flamed maple top finished in lemon burst (inspired by Moore's Peter Green Les Paul), a 1959 profile neck and an unbound granadillo (cocobolo) fingerboard. It has two Burst Bucker pickups, on this model the pickups are covered unlike the first Gary Moore LP.The neck pickup is reversed in its mounting, in recognition of a similar modification to Peter Green’s Les Paul.
