Here's a great American Standard Start in an awesome and rare color. Made in the USA with good materials and attention to detail. The body is alder for good tone. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 9.5 inch radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. A trio of American Standard single coils dish out big tone. A 2 point trem offers smooth whammy action while and a set of sealed tuners keep it solid. This example sports a cool and fairly uncommon Torino Red finish. It's also one of many Fenders of this era with an EE serial number and a 1987 build date. A cool guitar from one of Fender's more interesting eras. A great Strat that's ready for the player!Rumour has it that these EE serial number guitars are odd birds - they were supposedly made for export markets being sold all around the world.This is a nice playing and sounding Strat. The neck is straight and the action is good. The pickups sound crisp and everything works as it should. Condition wise, this one is a solid used guitar for a player. In overall VG- condition, it has seen some wear. The finish shows minor pick and clearcoat scratches with some nicks and impression spots along the back of the neck and side bouts. Not quite a collectors Piece, but certainly a great all round guitar. Comes in the original Fender molded case with all the original case candy.This era of Strats produced some cool colors as well as some interesting features. This example is no exception sporting a finish more often seen on the more expensive Plus series. This is a cool Strat for a player looking for a good investment and a classic strat Tone.
