Original hardcase Pickups have been upgraded to Klein Epic 59 PAF, handwound and they sound incredible.I've had it about 12 months - bought from Japan. I already have a vintage ES335 and bought this for when i play out (not gigs, this isn't a gig guitar, its had an easy life) but that doesn't really happen anymore so i want something different. Plays like butter, sounds fantastic (like a mix of a les paul and a tele) and stays in tune. The binding and hardware are starting to age really nicely and get that vintage look. Real ebony fingerboard, not richlite.
There are some very minor scratches etc but nothing major and no dings. Frets have approx 70% left, paint is still nice and glossy. It has a treble bleed circuit installed and they are 500k pots (Gibson shipped them with 300k pots), the previous owner upgraded the electronics and added PIO capacitors. Neck is nice and straight with adjustment left in the truss rod. It hasn't needed any adjustment in the time i've had it. The original pickguard is included in the sale. I haven't made any mods to it, just played it, its been solid with no issues whatsoever.This guitar is a bargain at this asking price as they usually sell for well over $5,000.
