You are bidding on an all-original 2004/5 BURNS MARVIN 40th ANNIVERSARY GUITAR in NEAR-MINT condition. Truthfully, I can’t find an imperfections, but I’d never describe a twelve-year-old guitar I haven’t owned from new as “mint”. This guitar, serial number 0742, comes in its ORIGINAL BURNS HARD SHELL CASE. It’s complete with ALL ORIGINAL ACCESSORIES (unused) and DOCUMENTATION, including its SIGNED HANK B. MARVIN CERTIFICATE. I’ve owned this instrument since 2007. In my time – and I’m sure before – it has never been gigged, and since 2007 has only been very lightly used in a smoke-free, pet-free environment for studio recordings. Cosmetically and electrically, the guitar is in excellent condition. The neck is straight, there’s no crackle from the pots, and the jack connection is solid. The ORIGINAL BURNS CASE with its two original keys is also in a totally unblemished near-mint state. All catches and the lock are unstrained and fully secure the case.

The push-pull switching allows all three pickups to be activated together, or indeed the ‘neck-and-bridge’ should you feel the need. The only drawback is the guitar’s weight. That Alder body means you’ll have over three-and-a-half kilograms hanging from your shoulders (that’s around eight pounds!). ************* As by definition this will be a fairly heavy item to post, collection from Attleborough, Norfolk – about twelve miles west of Norwich and fifty miles east of Cambridge – will be welcome and advised.
