Yeah, yeah, yeah...First Act? What bro? They make Wal-Mart Guitars!Well... shows how much you know, bro. The deal with the FACS is that for about 3 years they had 3 former members of the Nashville Gibson Custom Shop team, headed by Luthier Legend Machine Gun Kelly Butler, designing and building some of the nicest axes for the cash in the world. First Act sold millions of dollars of cheap guitars so losing money on their custom shop was no big deal as long as they could build nice enough guitars to make relationships with some of the biggest players in the industry. Players from Slash to Adam Levine and a pile of Hardcore frontmen in-between were rocking these FACS guitars for years and the buddy that I am selling this for thought they were such a dang bang for his buck that he bought the 3rd one ever made, then bought another one the next year, 2006. (The 2006 Sheena is also for sale too as he is selling off a bunch of gear to make a big $$$ guitar purchase, check my other listings). In 20 years, First Act will probably be a pharmaceutical company but folks will still be talking about the 2005-8 years when the ex-Gibson team were making these guitars with Kelly Butler at the head and Kent Armstrong stopping by the shop and hand winding some pick ups in the shop. The Sheena was the top of the rack offering with a particularly clean looking Alder/Maple combo, has that distinct Tele vibe that you all know and love. You can't get these puppies anymore and the post 2008 FACS offerings had a different team of luthiers anyway. The best of them were these early ones made by the ex-Gibson team.If you can get past your brand bashing BS, you won't find a nicer noise machine for the money. THE  LOWDOWN ON THE 3rd SHEENA EVER MADE ON THE OFFICIAL LINE -My buddy was a studio musician and the first few of these Sheena's ever made went to a globally known guitar shop we have here in the Twin Cities. My buddy picked this one up right when he played it as he knew it was basically a made by Gibson Tele clone for half the price. The 2nd one ever made is on eBay too out of Hopkins, Minnesota. That guy is asking $25,000.00 Yup. That's right. What a skeezer! So... you can have the 3rd one ever made instead of the 2nd for about 1/10 of the price that the guy is asking for no. 2. The guitar is awesome sounding but is more of a collectible than play every day type of thing. If you are looking for a play everyday beast, check out the other Sheena I have listed. There is a black paint bleed/blemish on the rim where the Alder was painted black and joined that is shown in picture 8. There is virtually no play wear and the only blemishes were straight out of the shop as they were just getting into the swing of things on this model, he picked up another one in 2006 and played that puppy only in studio sessions while this puppy became part of the art show that his former studio was. Comes with the custom aluminum case of the early custom shop guitars. Will be shipped via UPS pack and ship program.
