It doesn’t crash like a Wind Gong, or even a Chau. The Mother Tesla Gongs are great for engraving on, as the image engraved really shows up well.This is how a gong looks when it comes out of the oven. Most Chinese Gongs have this color when they come out of their cast mold, but then are lathed to create different tones.The Unlimited One Gong StandThis Gong Stand was made in small batches in Lincoln Nebraska, by a master carpenter. The wood is RED OAK, much heavier than the lighter woods used in furniture these days.The stand requires no tools to set up.For many lifetimes - incarnations from Druid to Buddhist to Atheist to Jewish to Inuit to Christian and even the Whodat FL-76 MultiDNA Spiralism of the year 2485 AD, the Malletheads at Gongs Unlimited have heard and heard again the plaintive cries from those who travel with their gongs... prayerful requests for a high quality, great looking RED OAK WOODEN GONG STAND that came apart easily for travel.And was FINISHED IN A DURABLE SATIN LACQUER that looked incredible... and was made by a craftsman in the US, who was an editor at Fine Woodworking magazine in the Cosby Show Years of the 1980s, and wrote The Complete Woodworker’s Companion.YEP.The semi-circle design of the feet is both aesthetically pleasing, as it echoes the circle of the gong, and strong as it is part of the verticals, allowing no wobble.Three pieces!
