Fender Custom Shop 68 stratocaster relic Lake placid blue 2012 Fender Stratocaster 1968 in Lake Placid Blue finish. This Stratocaster is part of the time machine series, and had a relic treatment. The Lake Placid Blue finish combined with the large headstock, rosewood fretboard and three ply pickguard has the total look of a late 60’s Stratocaster. The relic treatment gives you the feeling that you’re looking at an actual late ‘60’s Strat. The large headstock with ‘Stratocaster’ in block letters has the typical Post CBS F stamped tuners. The Alder body is visible at some points through the faded Lake Placid Blue finish. The lacquer of the neck is factory worn which makes the neck feel smooth, it has a 60’s C style neck.This Custom Shop Fender ‘68 Stratocaster is pre owned and in near mint condition. All the spots, rash and damages are factory made, there’s only some additional pickwear.
