Acquired from the original owner.1964 Sears/Silvertone Model 1448 Guitar with Amp-In-Case.Many a kid's first guitar/amp set in the 1960's!This set was barely used. It was mostly stored. The owner showed me were he moved one of the back hinges on the case over after he once opened it too far and the Masonite material the case is made from gave way a little. You can see the outline of the original hingle placement.Aside from that, it had ancient rusty strings. I have cleaned it up, tried to set teh action as low as the bridge allows. The saddle has never been lowered. I would recommend shaving the rosewood saddle down a little. These guitars were not made to be professional guitars.The tubes are the original Silvertone tubes. It even has the original cord from the guitar to the amp! There's a plastic catch that screws onto the pickguard to keep the cord attached. I've never even seen that on these before (and I have seen dozens of them). I powered it up and the amp took a while, but it works and it puts-out! The exterior of the case is the cleanest I've ever seen. The guitar itself is the cleanest I have ever seen. There is some very minor discoloration to the pickguard and the white side tape, but not too bad and certainly not visible in the pics.These are Danelectro made, basically. Very cool old-school guitar nostalgia!I will ship international!
