All original except a STUNNING Clive Brown refin in Sonic Blue, this will not disappoint...It plays amazingly well with a nice, low fast action, dead straight neck. Beautiful sound - really is probably the best electric XII out there and it is no surprise it is so popular - I just can't stop playing Starway on it :-)Clive's work as you are probably aware, is amongst the finest on the planet and having seen a fair few examples from him, I personally think that sonic blue must be one of his favourites as it just looks SO right. Every sonic blue I have seen from Clive is a masterpiece and this one is no exception. This guitar was always originally a custom colour 1965 Electric XII. The pickguard is near impossible to fake and was only ever seen on custom colour XII's. I'm not sure if it was originally sonic blue but probably would have been one of the blues or reds. This refin was done over 10 year ago and is already starting to show signs of black lighting glow. Give it another 10 or 15 years and it will probably be near impossible to tell from an original. All original hardware, pots, pickups and switch gear etc and a lot of the solder joints are un disturbed. No extra routes, or odd holes anywhere and boy does it sound good. I have recently recored a video with Dafydd and will post it as soon as I've finished editing so you can see how nice this sounds. With it's cool looking matching headstock this is probably the nicest looking Electric XII out there too...
