NOTE this is also for sale locally cheaper on Los Angeles C L, if it does sell there first i will take down this ad.I have an American Fender Stratocaster Plus here. Vintage from 1990-1991 era i believe.Really nice guitar. I had a wow moment when i first heard it plugged in. It's in pretty nice condition all in all considering how old it is. The finish work is nice, you can never go wrong with a candy red strat. Frets have moderate wear, setup is great. It really plays well. It will ship in a nice Gator hard case to.Now the pickups are a stock lace sensor in the mid, and the neck and bridge are Seymour duncan mini buckers. I believe they are little 59's. Their also exists a lil JB and duckbucker. So i am not 100% sure of it. But i have heard a lil 59 before and this sounds just like it.The tuners are working fine but one tuner button, the locking button on the back was lost. I bought a replacement tuner for it and to my chagrin it does not fit. The button fits on but not all the way. It's the same color and looks fine, and the tuner functions fine like a normal tuner, it just does not lock. This can be remedied if the correct tuner locking tuner button is ordered. Here is what i learned from this. The earlier Strat Plus models had Sperzel tuners. The later one's had schaller's. I wrote Sperzel and they confirmed this. The schaller tuner i bought ( which i will include) is slightly off in size. A correct sperzel should take care of it. The guitar actually has great tuning stability,Now as for the sound. It definitely has a quality high end strat sound to it. The actual wood, craftsmanship, and fender feel are their in spades. Much better than the newer standards. And similar to american deluxe series in feel and character, but different in the pickup sound. The pups do not sound like humbuckers. They sound like a more powerful strat pickup with a little bit of rounding on the sharp treble spike. So that's the story on this one. Early 90s late 80s is the new vintage. This is a heck of a guitar for this price and an interesting piece of Fender's history. The playability is great, seriously playable guitar here. Thanks for reading!
