1960 Silvertone S-1385 with dual Gibson p-13 pickups. The guitar is in very playable condition. It is difficult to see numbers inside but by all appearances it should be 1960 with 3 1/2" body. Sold in sears catalog as Black Beauty. I can't guarantee it's 100% original and it looks like it may have had some changes, like black cupcake knobs instead of cream colored. Tuners have been changed, white knobs on vintage waverly tuners instead of nickel with newer ferules, probably for non original holes. The original pick guard is gone but I have a replacement one I can include. I think it looks better without the aftermarket guard, enhances the "Black Beauty" look. Pickups are 50s/60s era Gibson p-13s, precursor to p-90s. Bridge has likely been changed but may be correct style. Have not gotten inside the guitar but with the cupcake knobs off - the tops of 2 pots look newer (shiny, not aged) than other 2, other than that I can't tell much about the originality as I do not know the history of it before I got it - assume it has been modified or replaced. Body is in decent shape, little bit of checking and dings in paint, no gouging or major buckle rash, nicely worn paint on neck with good bit of paint loss on headstock. Does not look like there are any repairs done that I can see and there is no damage around input jack or top, back or sides that is evident to me. One of pickup surrounds is missing a screw and one has couple small cracks. Neck seems straight, frets decent, fairly low action, plays nice, no gouging in fretboard. Sounds awesome, especially on a tube amp. It sounds great, loud and full of tone without amplification. I have described as best I can and all that I know. GUITAR SOLD AS IS, NO RETURN. NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTY TO HISTORY, ACCURACY OR ORIGINALITY IS EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET. STUDY THE PHOTOS, ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BUYING. Will be carefully packaged and shipped with full insurance.
