Vintage 1940s Gibson L-48 Archtop Guitar P-13 Pick Up Worn In Cool L-47 Old LogoIf you want something old and original without the problems this guitar is for you! All offers considered!Up for sale we have a 1940s Gibson L-48. This guitar has solid intonation and the action is low. Has a nice tight blues feel to it. Just what you expect in a Gibson like this. Its P-13 pick up works as it should and is original to the guitar. Its loud and gritty. Its possible it could have been added at the time or ordered from the custom shop or repair shop of the era. The pick up, wiring are all original vintage. Its truss rod cover is not original. The guitar has been professionally restored but some of LA's finest. Top finished was removed long ago (not recently). Cleaned up and a thin layer of clear coat was added. Looks really cool like that. Like an old guitar should but nice smooth feel. The back has a few repaired splits that are still visible but the color is its original black (possibly another thin layer of clear coat added-i forgot to ask Luither). Some re binding work was done as well. Neck has be reset and the guitar is set up to play easily. The guitar also has minor superficial dings, scratches, wear and tear around various parts of the guitar. Typical of a guitar of this age. As with any guitar that’s been sitting in storage it going to need new strings and set up. Please consider this when bidding on my items.
