Special and Extremely Rare Gibson Super Jumbo Electro Acoustic for SaleGibson SJ-300 Custom Shop in Vintage SunburstDescription and InformationHello and welcome to my ebay auction for my Gibson SJ-300 Vintage Sunburst Electro Acoustic Guitar. The Gibson SJ-300 guitar is really very special, extremely rare plus does not come up for sale often as it was made by Gibson in limited numbers.  The amazing "King of Flat Tops" Gibson Super Jumbo 200 (SJ-200) was made even more luxurious by Gibson in the form of the Gibson Super Jumbo (SJ-300).

The Gibson SJ-300 is a top of the line Super Jumbo Electro Acoustic guitar with a beautiful Indian Rosewood body for the back and sides and much more.

A 6-string Electro Acoustic Super Jumbo Guitar with Sitka Spruce Top and Indian Rosewood Back and Sides with Vintage Sunburst finish and extra details.
Handcrafted in: Bozeman, Montana at the Gibson Custom Shop creating the highest quality construction for any Gibson;Build Date for my SJ-300 is the 03rd August 2007 with Serial Number: 01767031 and MPN: SJ2EVSGH1. Included is the original Gibson SJ-300 case with lining and original Gibson box. Full Details:I originally received the Gibson SJ-300 Vintage Sunburst as a gift in 2007 and the guitar includes the original Gibson luxurious case, case candy and original Gibson shipping box. The number one most important factor to make about my Gibson SJ-300 is that it is in absolutely 100% as brand new, mint, unplayed condition. The SJ-300 has been part of my guitar collection but has only been taken out of the Gibson case and actually played a maximum of 4 times in its entire life since 2007. I am extremely careful with all of my guitars and treat them with complete respect. My SJ-300 has only been ever used briefly in a carpeted house. Therefore, everything about the guitar you will be buying is flawless and like purchasing a brand new Gibson SJ-300 directly from Gibson. The SJ-300 has been out of production at Gibson or anywhere else for a long time now which is why it is now considered amongst Gibson fans as a very rare Gibson. Faithful to the time-tested perfection of the SJ-200, the Gibson SJ-300 Rosewood has a lustrous Abalone rosette and crown inlays that grace a beautiful Indian Rosewood body and Mahogany neck. With an Ebony Moustache bridge and gold Grover Imperial tuners. Crafted with the finest materials available to deliver unmatched tone and performance. As good as it gets.Lustrous abalone rosette, bound ebony fingerboard with abalone crown inlays, stunning Indian rosewood back and sides, and gold Grover Imperial tuners elevate this Gibson SJ-300 Acoustic Electric Guitar into a league of its own. Astoundingly bold and pure tone comes from the solid AAA Premium Sitka spruce top. Ebony moustache bridge with abalone inlays, 6-ply top binding, 4-ply back binding, and bound headstock lend even more stage presence. Mahogany neck and pickup system with active preamp. The Gibson SJ-300 shares the same body dimensions as the Gibson SJ-200. However, the SJ-300 is much more decorative than a standard SJ-200. My SJ-300 features abalone inlays on the headstock, fretboard, and bridge. It also features an abalone rosette. Another great feature of this guitar is its ebony fretboard. Many guitarists prefer an ebony fretboard to rosewood. This particular cut of ebony is jet black and of the highest quality. The majority of acoustic guitars currently being built by Gibson have rosewood fretboards. For various reasons, Gibson’s standard Acoustic plant is not using any ebony. The SJ-300 has all the big tone and volume of an SJ-200 with the extra boost and depth of sound from the Rosewood body. Rosewood is my personal preference for a tonewood. The SJ-300 has a very full bodied, rich sound. Rosewood also offers a much bigger voice than maple used in the SJ-200, including substantially more bass. I have owned both the SJ-200 Custom Shop and SJ-300 Custom Shop and, to compare the two, the SJ-300 Rosewood offers a deeper, more open and resonating sound than the Maple on the SJ-200. I absolutely love the tone of the Gibson SJ-300! Key Features of my Gibson SJ-300Handcrafted in: Bozeman, Montana at the Gibson Custom Shop creating the highest quality construction for any Gibson;Body Style: Super Jumbo SJ-300 with stunning Vintage Sunburst finish;Build Date: 03rd August 2007;Model Number: SJ2EVSGH1;Serial Number: 01767031;Top Species: AAA Premium Solid Sitka Spruce Top with Custom logo;Back and Sides: Premium Indian Rosewood using a premium, scalloped bracing, top of the range cut of wood;Body Binding: Bound Headstock: 6-ply top, 4-ply back;Neck Species: 14 Fret Mahogany;Headstock: Mother of Pearl crown inlays;Scale: 650mm, 25-1/2" scale length;Profile: Round, Super Jumbo;Fingerboard Species: Bound Ebony fingerboard with abalone Mother of Pearl crown inlays and trim;Binding: Multiple Bound body, Single-ply - 6-Ply top binding 4-Ply back binding;Inlays: Mother of Pearl Abalone Crowns;Nut Width: 45mm, 1.725 (1 3/4");Bridge: Ebony Moustache with four Abalone block inlays;Bridge Inlay: 4 Abalone Bars;Pins: White;Soundhole: Wide Abalone; Tuners: Gold Grover Imperial tuners;Pickguard: Engraved Tortoise SJ 300 w/ abalone dots;Pickups: LR Baggs Active Pickup system with Active Preamp;Case: Luxurious and Premium Gibson Hardshell with soft inlay;Strings: Gibson Masterbuilt Premium Phosphor Bronze Wound;Gibson Plectrum included;Gibson Case with soft inlay and case candy; Gibson Shipping Box.Gibson SJ-300 DocumentationGibson Owner’s Manual in Gold;Gibson Owner’s Warranty (assuming not under Gibson United States warranty as I own the Gibson in the United Kingdom);Gibson Pre-Pack and Final Pack Checklist inspected by “JD” at Gibson.Payment and DeliveryI have included a Buy It Now price or feel free to make me a reasonable offer. I will automatically refuse any low offers but happy to negotiate an agreed price if your genuinely interested. Immediate payment by PayPal please only if buying directly on my auction. To add, if anyone lives near to Amersham, Oxford or Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire in the United Kingdom, I would be more than happy to accept cash on collection at the weekends or weekday evenings. For domestic United Kingdom delivery, I will package my Gibson SJ-300 in the luxurious hard case, Gibson box and then wrap this too. Gibson sells guitars under a variety of brand names and built one of the world's most iconic guitars, the Gibson Les Paul, which in 1952 and until today has revolutionized the guitar industry. From the earliest guitars until the more recent models, provided with incredible high-tech system Min-ETune, passing by the first adjustable Truss Rod System, the first Humbucker microphone and many other Gibson innovations, the American brand made history.Gibson has also defined the most beautiful Jazz, Blues, Rock and, today, Pop stories. To play a Gibson guitar means to turn back to these stories. The greatest artists ever like Jimmy Page, Lenny Kravitz, Slash, Joe Perry, Wes Montgomery , BB King, already have said: there is only Gibson to be able to fuse nostalgia with the opening of new horizons in terms of creativity and sonorityThe Min-ETune is a tuning system, Gibson's latest self tuning guitar technology, with up to 18 alternate tunings. A small, compact and, in addition to this, affordable tuning unit. The USA Series has been refined in order to fulfill the most different guitarist requirements, modern or vintage, concerning the sonorities or styles. The Les Paul Standard, USA Series’ flagship, offers 3 different top degrees and 4 different top styles for its Premium version. The latest Tribute Series offers a warm vintage sound; the SG61 carries us back to the roots, the Les Paul Traditional lives more than ever up to its name and the new SG Standard takes its firepower from a pair of 57 Classic and a slim profile neck. The Custom Shop doesn’t just make guitars, it makes dreams. It fuses personal touches with history and innovation. Today’s players can purchase perfect reproductions of the guitars picked by the greats — sometimes, as is the case with a special run of 50 aged-finished models, right down to the dings and cigarette burns. For the biggest Gibson fans, discover the whole lifestyle and equipment collection with strings, straps, goodies, clothes and other products.Modern Classics, ImprovedDelivering quality craftsmanship and classic style, Gibson guitars will always be of the best in the world. Yet, the same technological developments that constantly change and revolutionise the audio industry are also impacting the needs and wishes of modern musicians: Gibson knows this. With the release of the Modern Classic line, Gibson gives a nod to the modern guitarist - the guitarist who needs onboard electronics, cutaways to reach the uppermost frets, modified neck profiles, and setups that allow playability - no matter the style of playing. With these features in mind, Gibson redesigned the entire Modern Classic line to give us premium, handcrafted guitars that play easier, intonate better, sound great plugged in, and stay in tune even better than before. These guitars feature the latest design advancements, including radiused, or rolled fingerboard edges, giving you a fast, comfortable feel. And, with string height lower at the nut, these guitars will also play even easier and intonate better all the way up the neck. Final Gibson touches, including new soundhole labels, sturdy Grover tuners, and premium Fishman pickups, make it easy for you to take your favorite traditional-style Gibson acoustic onto the modern stage with confidence!Quality ConstructionAll Modern Classic guitars are handcrafted by Gibson in Bozeman, MT, from premium tonewoods and components. The SJ-300 Modern Classic features a AAA premium Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides. An ebony fingerboard, adorned with abalone crown inlays, is set on a rounded 25-1/2" mahogany neck. The SJ-300 Modern Classic's intricate bridge employs a "mustache" design with abalone bar inlays and white pins. Gold Grover tuners, a top-of-the-line Fishman pickup, and an intricate floral-patterned tortoise pickguard are the final touches on this impressive Gibson masterpiece. The Super Jumbo: Gibson's Super Jumbo guitars were originally built to cut through the loudest acoustic ensembles, allowing them to compete with the mandolins and banjos that were prevalent in "pre-amplified" times. It's still a thrill to hear the well-balanced sound of a Super Jumbo ring out loud and clear, the maple sides and spruce top pumping out a throaty tone that's equally great for hi-octane strumming and delicate fingerpicking. Everyone from rockers to country artists to blues greats choose these guitars for their incredible sound, projection, build quality, and, let's face it, stunning looks.Gibson: Don't Mess with a Good Thing:Gibson guitars have been around for well over a century. When guitarists are looking for an outstanding combination of superb tone and playability along with great looks and gorgeous finishes, the choice for most of those 100 plus years has been Gibson. From their amazing collection of fine acoustics to the electric guitars that literally rewrote music history, Gibson guitars have been on almost every chart-topping album from artists like The Beatles, Noel Gallagher, The Rolling Stones, Cream and Led Zeppelin. These "first call" instruments also cross an enormous array of diverse styles, from folk and country to blues and hard rock. With that resume, it's not surprising that so many of Gibson's best-selling instruments have changed little over the decades. Because there's just no sense in messing with a good thing!
