1959 Fender Slab Board Stratocaster. This guitar features a refinished body and neck, but is otherwise all original, right down to the original 3 way switch, and trem cover.All electronics are original, including original North Polarity pickups, pots, tone cap, etc. Mint green guard is original, as are all plastic parts. Original Single Line Klusons are on the guitar, and all bridge and trem parts are original. There are no faults on this guitar, no cracks, extra holes or other funny business. The original frets are in surprisingly good condition.The serial number is 43XXX. The body is dated 11/59. No neck date as is common on 1959 Fender guitars. The guitar weighs 7.4 lbs. with trem arm and cover in place. Pickups give healthy vintage readings, from Neck to Bridge, 5.6K, 5.5K, 5.9K. The C shaped neck measures .755" at 1st fret, and .979" at 12th fret, typical of the period.The guitar ships it its original, brown Tolex, gold lined case. The case is in fair to good condition. All latches function, but there is significant wear on the exterior and interior.The guitar is set up wonderfully and plays fantastic.
