Excellent Condition 1st issue 1952 Goldtop in the Original Hardshell Case
I am the 2nd owner. ALL ORIGINAL - nothing changed! Please review the pics carefully.
There is some fret wear but nothing substantial: the guitar plays well all up and down the neck.
The neck angle is good and the action is very good.
The original owner put a medallion on the pickguard, which fell off at some point. You can see a shadow on the pickguard where he had it.The 1st Issue Les Paul Goldtops can be identified by:
1. No binding on the fretboard
2. No serial number
3. Slotted Head Mounting Screws in the corners of the Bridge pickupAccording to those with more knowledge than I, less than 200 of these were made and some say less than 100. This is an excellent example of the 1st issue guitars.I will cover insured FedEx Ground/Home Delivery Shipping for conti US buyers. The Buyer will pay the difference if you want expedited shipping.
