Selling this guitar for a friend:For sale is a Fender Esquire 50's Reissue (Made in Mexico) electric guitar with the original gig bag. Serial # places it as a 2009/2010 model. Guitar plays great with no functional issues. The guitar does have one chip and a couple of very minor cracks in the finish near the upper top edge where your picking arm rests caused by an overzealous UPS delivery man. I was told by my local guitar shop/luthier that it could easily be drop filled and buffed out, but I like to think that it gives the guitar a bit of character. Please see the above pictures for reference.I'm normally a rosewood fretboard kind of guy as it's what I prefer, but the maple neck on this Esquire plays like butter and is very comfortable on the hands. Notes ring out clear and it has a great resonance when playing unplugged. Neck is straight with virtually no fretwear, all electronics works as they should. These are a guitar modders dream as these are one of the easiest guitars to make any upgrades to. There is an additional factory routed cavity under the pickguard in case you wanted to turn this into a two pickup Telecaster type guitar. Gonna miss this guy, but I've been bitten by the P90 bug and something has got to go. Shipping will be via FedEx Ground w/ full insurance and signature required. I've had great success shipping this method and won't give my business to UPS anymore for shipping guitars and amps (too many damage claims). Please note, to cut down on the possibility of any further damage to the guitar during shipping, the neck will be carefully removed and packaged alongside the body. Please email any questions.
