Circa 1924 Epiphone Model A Recording Tenor Banjo. In remarkably good condition overall and completely original. Has been played gently over the years and has been case kept and well cared for. I have the original case, which is also in very nice shape. Beautiful flamed maple pie plate, what appears to be an original calf head intact, very minor fret wear. Has "House of Stathopoulo" engraved on back of peghead. See photo. Considering that this classic Epiphone banjo is over ninety years old, it's condition can only be described as remarkable. If you've been looking for a solid tenor banjo, this is it. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer one.
