What makes this guitar special: All original in a rare, ebony finish, this gorgeous hollow body exudes an aura of excitement from the very first moment you pick it up. A sweet, woody acoustic tone coupled with the warm, richness of the double humbuckers, provides the player with an array of sonic textures just waiting to be explored. It's not hard to see why the ES-175D has been the go-to model for so many great guitarists over the years. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts at Cream City Music, this Black Beauty is a definite must-have for any serious collector or player.Cosmetic Condition: Very nice condition overall, especially for a guitar that's approaching 30. There are various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & lots of weather checking in the body, particularly on the back & sides. There is some minuscule finish chipping along the neck heel, but this is purely cosmetic & not structural. The truss rod cover has a couple if tiny cracks near each screw. Overall the guitar is in great shape with a cool vibe.Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Beautiful rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Gibson Deluxe tuners with "tulip" buttons in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is functioning.Body: Florentine cutaway, hollow maple body with dual F-holes. Trapeze tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge on a rosewood base. 5-ply black pickguard & gold hardware. The upper strap button was added after market. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 4.7 oz.Pickups: Gibson Pat No. humbuckers with gold covers & black bezels. The neck pickup bezel is cracked on one side. Bridge - 8.79K ohms; Neck - 7.08K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.Case: Original hardshell case included.
