D'Angelico NYL-2 New Yorker Archtop. 2000. Vestax.This is such a jazzy guitar! As a 2000 instrument, it has one of the early Vestax pickups that are so warm and mellow (later models had stock Kent Armstrong pickups which were brighter). This guitar sounds just like Johnny Smith's old D'Angelico. Still in outstanding condition ( just a few minor dings on the top) it plays superbly. These New Yorkers have the most delightful necks and are so easy to play.The photos just don't do justice to this special order finish, the transparent Wine Red cellulose is over AAA grade Spruce on the Top and gorgeous Flame Maple Back and Sides. It is signed by Hidesato Shiino.Great looks, great tone and such presence. Great on stage - a real show-stopper!£2750 if you use PayPal, £2650 if you use Bank Transfer. No extra costs.
