Vintage Silvertone 1303 (Danelectro U2) made in 1958, pot codes are 137845, which means CTS pots made the 45th week of 1958. 98% Original. Serial number number is 4128, which means the guitar was assembled the 41st week of 1958. Original bridge, metal nut, tuners, pickups concentric pots and knobs, PU switch, frets, finish, control cavity cover. The only item not original is someone installed a metal strap peg on the upper bout, the original plastic strap peg on the underside of the neck cutaway appears to have broken off at some point in the last 58 years. The original plastic strap peg at the bottom of the guitar is still intact however. Frets in very good condition, this guitar plays and sounds great, this is a classic example of a vintage Dano U2. Finish has some age wear and scuff marks, but nothing dramatic, just enough to look cool and vintage. Plug it into your amp and start playing! Comes with a non original fake leopard style lined hard case. The latches on the case work, however the hinges don't. You will probably want to fix the hinges or use a different case for transporting the guitar around, however it will be safe and secure in the shipping box, I will pack it securely. US Shipping $50.
