This guitar has toured the world. I was Laura Branigans lead guitarist in the late 80s and this baby was my go to axe. Ive also played on countless sessions and club gigs with it.I had this custom built for me in the mid eighties at Valley Arts in Los Angeles. Mike McGuire was the builder. The neck was originally made for Larry Carlton and has the serial number 335 on it. Jumbo frets with very little wear. Joe Glaser in Nashville did a fret dress on it recently. He does all the stars guitars here in Nashville. Vince Gill, etc. The neck is a medium slim c shape and very fast with low action. No buzzes or dead spots. The guitar has great resonance and sustain. It has one of the most beautiful  birdseye maple necks you will ever see.I believe they used a mid 80s stock fender telecaster body. It has 30 coats of translucent blue nitrocellulose lacquer and the neck is an incredible birds eye maple piece with rosewood fingerboard. The headstock is the Fender shape as this was made before Valley Arts started manufacturing guitars. It's a one off one of a kind, super collectable and playable piece of history. Steve Lukather and Larry Carlton and all the LA yo cats had these built for them in the mid eighties. The pickups are a Duncan trembucker in the bridge position and the middle and neck pickups have been replaced with Lindy Fralin strat pickups. The guitar has been retrofitted with a Graphtec Ghost floyd rose tremolo bridge and it has the standard MIDI output jack on the bottom edge. Under the pick guard it has been routed for the CPU for the midi converter. The original Floyd could be easily reinstalled if you wanted. This is a piece of guitar history for the discerning player/collector.MIDI Cable and soft case included.
