Here for your consideration is an absolutely stunning and rare Candy Apple Red 1983 Fullerton built Fender Stratocaster with its original tweed 'duck foot' case, accessories and manuals. First off, just take a look at this beauty! It looks like a pre-CBS Strat in one of the most desirable colours Fender's were shipped in. Get a load of the patina and the way the finish has aged exactly like a pre-CBS Strat. The best feature of this Strat is its fat and very full neck. If you're familiar with pre-CBS Strats this one has a neck very similar to those fat necks that were produced in 1963, nice and full throughout the neck. Rumors fly around saying that some of these Fullerton's were made with left over carves in the Fullerton Factory, if so, then I'm more than sure this neck is one of them!Everything is as it should be from leaving the factory, only thing which has changed is that the 5-way switch has been installed, the 3-way is in the case. The frets are in great shape and it plays amazingly well and sounds like a perfect Strat. The neck date is 12 - 8 - 83 and the pots are CTS pots dated R1378330, which is the 30th week of 1983. Checked out under the UV Blacklight and there is absolutely nothing to report, the candy apple red finish is 100% and over a gold base coat as was done in the 60's, nut is original and the frets are in great shape. As I've said before and I'll say again, these Fullerton Strat's are the best Strat's you'll find less than £10,000. Anyone is welcome to come and view or chat on the phone, 07943 633860.
